Unusual American made 19th century ironstone bread tray. The two handles are decorated with a scroll and shell design and wheat stalks that run toward the center of the plate. The outer rim is decorated with "Give Us This Day" on one side and "Our Daily Bread" on the other side. Made by Knowles, Taylor, Knowles, East Liverpool, Ohio, c. 1871-1890. The tray measures 12 inches long and 10 1/4 inches wide. In very good condition with two small discolored spots (shown in inset picture) and a discolored glaze crack on the bottom.
