Black and White Historical Transferware Soup Plate

This is an early Historical black and white transferware soup plate, made by James & Ralph Clews, Staffordshire, England. The design is taken from W.G. Walls "Hudson River Portfolio". The scene on the plate is titled "Near Fishkill Hudson River". This piece dates from 1815-1834. It measures 10 1/2 inches across. There is some discoloration on the edge of the rim and there are four small flake chips on the underside of the rim and some discoloration on the underside of the soup plate.
