This antique brown transferware plate has an ironstone body with a scalloped edge and is decorated with a floral design with pheasants. The pattern is called "Asiatic Pheasants". This plate was made by Ridgway, (England) c.1872-1878. There is some smearing of the brown ink from the time of manufacture and two small spots of missing glaze on the edge of the rim.
