This lovely antique pottery canister is one of a set of twelve we are selling. The canister is decorated with a blue transfer design and hand labeled. The set was made by Boch Freres Keramis (Belgium) c. 1880-1890 and was probably used in a shop. Each canister measures 8 inches high, 4 1/2 inches wide at the top and bottom, and 6 inches at the widest in the middle. This canister is labeled "Chicoree" or "chicory". There is discoloration and crazing on the canister and lid, and a tight hairline crack at the top rim that is a little over an inch long.
