Early Black and White Transferware Bowl

This lovely black and white transferware rimmed bowl is decorated with an Asian themed design with a Palace in the background, a basket of fruit and flowers and two birds in the foreground. There is a floral design along the scalloped rim. The pattern is called "Pagoda". The bowl was made by Enoch Wood & Son, between 1818 and 1846. The bowl is in very good condition. There are some black smudge marks from the original application of the transfer. The bowl measures 10 inches across. Click on photo for more detail.
