  
This beautiful hand painted tea set has the older Noritake mark, a green wreath with the letter M inside and "Nippon" underneath. This mark was used until 1941. The service has a white ground with a border of gold flowers and butterflies glazed for an antiqued effect. The set contains a tea pot, creamer, sugar with lid, 10 cups and saucers, and 11 plates measuring 7 3/4 inches wide. There is a small chip on the inside end of the spout which is difficult to see because of the gilding.
