This lovely antique white ironstone covered dish or tureen has a ribbed petal like design to body and lid. It has a pedestal base. The handles are the curled under ends of leaves which are embossed on the sides of the body. The lid is topped with a fig finial which sits on an embossed leaf design. There is an impressed makers mark that we cannot make out. This piece dates from 1850-1870 and measures 13 inches long and 7 1/2 inches high. It is in very good condition with some small interior spots where the glaze is missing and it has become discolored with use. And some slight wear on the ends of the handles.
