  
 Very large antique blue and white romantic style transferware platter. The truly fabulous piece has an Asian themed design. The rim has a diaper pattern with a scenic cartouche in the center of each side. The central design has buildings and mountains with a boat on the water. The detail of the trees is very nicely done (see inset). The platter measures 19 inches long by 14 3/4 inches wide. It is unmarked, English, c.1830. In excellent condition with some small points of missing glaze from the time of manufacture. Click on photo for more detail.
