This vintage Masons Patented Ironstone sauce boat with attached underplate is in the "Watteau" pattern. The purple color is called the Mulberry colorway. The transfer design has floral borders around a scene of 18th Century people in a garden. This piece could also be used to hold a small flower arrangement. A very lovely piece in excellent condition.
