This Faience basket is beautifully made, with a ribbed detail in the pottery, and decorated with a floral design. The banner in the upper left hand corner reads "St Guiles Crox De Vie". The bottom is marked "HD 478 70 France" (see inset photo). This is the mark of Henri Delcort, and dates from 1920-1930, as best we can figure, and was made in Boulonge. The work is very fine, and has a more refined look than Quimper. The basket measures 5 inches long, 3 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches high. It has a small wear mark on the inside of one of the handles.
