Set of three purple transfer decorated creamware plates. These plates are beautifully done. The transfer border closely follows the scalloped shape of the plates (see inset photo). Vines of grapes and melons decorate the body. The pattern is called "Fruit Garden". Although the plates have no makers mark they are very much like the work of Job & John Jackson, Staffordshire, who produced pottery 1831-1835. The plates are in excellent condition. They measure 8 inches across.
