Charming vintage Moorland Pottery small plates hand decorated with cut sponges to create the feather pattern around the rim and the red chickens standing on a bit of green grass. The design is modern version of spongeware or spatterware pottery. Made by Moorland Pottery, Chelsea Works, Burselem England. The plate measures 7 3/4 inches across. In excellent condition.
